Jia Yin Academy Cancellation & Participation Policy

Group Classes (24+ Hours Notice): 

• All group class cancellations must be made at least 24 hours before the class start time to save your class credit for future use.

Private Lessons (48+ Hours Notice)

• Private lesson cancellations must be made at least 48 hours before the scheduled time to save your lesson credit for future use.
  

Late Cancellations 

• For group classes, cancellations made within 24 hours of the class start time will be charged full payment for drop-ins or deducted from class packs. For private lessons, cancellations made within 48 hours of the scheduled lesson will also be charged full payment or deducted from lesson packs. No make-up class or lesson will be offered for late cancellations.
  

Emergency Cancellations (Sickness)

• If you are unable to attend due to an emergency or illness, please inform us as soon as possible. In such cases, your class or lesson credit may be saved for future use. One emergency or sickness-related cancellation per month is allowed without penalty. 

Late Arrivals

• Students arriving 15 minutes or more after the class start time will not be admitted to class out of respect for our instructors and fellow participants. Payment will still be charged for drop-ins, and class or lesson credits will be deducted from packs.
  

No-Shows

• Failure to attend a pre-booked class or lesson without prior cancellation will result in full payment being charged for drop-ins or the credit being deducted from class or lesson packs. No make-up class will be offered for no-shows.
  

Studio-Initiated Cancellations

• If a class or lesson is canceled by the studio due to instructor illness or unforeseen circumstances, students will receive a make-up class, lesson, or refund/class credit.
  

Music Video Projects

• Students who register for music video projects are expected to attend all rehearsals, filming sessions, and related activities to maintain the quality and consistency of the final production. Full participation is required, and make-up sessions will not be offered for late arrivals or no-shows.
• A 50% non-refundable deposit is required upon registration, with the remaining balance due before the first rehearsal. If a student withdraws after registration, the deposit will NOT be refunded. In cases of serious illness or emergency, the studio must be informed immediately; partial credits may be offered at the studio’s discretion.
• If the studio cancels or reschedules a project due to unforeseen circumstances, students will receive an alternative date, full refund, or class credit.
  
  

• All class fees are fixed and non-negotiable. Jia Yin Academy maintains transparent and fair pricing to ensure equal access to quality training.
  
• Periodic promotions or discounts may be offered at the academy’s discretion and are subject to specific terms and conditions.
  
• GST (Goods and Services Tax) is applied to all classes.
  
  

• All class packages, memberships, and private bookings are non-refundable and non-transferable. Sharing or transferring credits is not permitted.

• Unused class pack credits cannot be refunded or exchanged for cash and must be used within the validity period stated at the time of purchase.

• Expired class credits cannot be extended, except in cases of medical emergencies (documentation required).
  

1. Team Commitment

• Joining the Performance Team is a commitment to the team, including rehearsals and performances.
   
• By registering, each participant agrees to attend all scheduled rehearsals and performances unless excused in advance.
   

2. Attendance and Rehearsal Expectations

• Participants are expected to practice individually outside of scheduled rehearsals.
   
• Consistent absence, lack of preparation, or failure to participate actively may result in removal from performances.
   
• Rehearsals are team-focused; students must respect peers and instructors during all sessions.
   

3. Participation and Conduct

• Participants must follow instructor guidance during rehearsals and performances.
   
• Respectful behavior toward instructors, team members, and the studio is mandatory.
   
• Any behavior that disrupts the rehearsal or performance process may result in removal from the team.
   

4. Fees and Refunds

• Performance Team participation is separate from regular class packages.
   
• Fees for performance participation are non-refundable once registered.
   
• Transfers to another participant are not permitted.
   

5. Performance Readiness

• Students must meet rehearsal expectations to participate in the performance.
   
• In cases where a student is unable to perform (e.g., illness, not prepared), the instructor may adjust or remove their role.
   
• The studio will make every effort to accommodate absences, but team cohesion and performance quality take priority.
   

6. Exceptions

• Any special circumstances (e.g., extended illness or emergencies) must be communicated in advance and are subject to studio approval.

• By participating in any class, rehearsal, performance, or project at Jia Yin Academy, students (or their parents or guardians, if under 18) grant the academy permission to photograph, film, and record their participation for educational, promotional, and archival purposes.
  
• This includes, but is not limited to, use on the academy’s website, social media platforms, printed materials, and internal projects such as recitals, showcases, or music videos.
  
• If you do not consent to being photographed or filmed, please notify the academy in writing before your first class or project begins. Jia Yin Academy will make reasonable efforts to accommodate your request.
